My life in words, many words.

I stand up for my rights.

Post #20: Three things you are proud of about your personality.

1. Disgustingly Honest (with selective people) - most of the times, I can relate myself to the famous Hindi saying, "Apne pair par khud kulhaadi maarna." It is absolutely idiotic of me to go into losses and be responsible for it myself. With the people that are close to me, I cannot fabricate emotions. For others, I have the capability to do so (which isn't great.. but whatever). There have been so many times in my life, where I have spoken the truth despite knowing it is going to kill me and be disadvantageous. I have done it anyway. I just prefer being honest to my significant other, for example. Sometimes, I say things that he doesn't even need to know. And it ends up biting me in the back later.

2. Intellect.
Before all the haters attack me.. let me just clarify..this isn't to brag about myself. It's just a freakin' post so kindly relax yourselves. I like the fact that I have a brain that I use most of the times. I am like a chameleon in a good way. I turn my personality on and off according to the people that are around me. For example, college and university were entirely different for me. I was proud to be the intellectual me at university. When Nish first asked me out.. he said.. "You know what I like best about you? It's not just the looks.. you have a pretty good head on your shoulders that you use for more than just hair and makeup!"
Ahh he got me there.. lol. And then when I went to Humber, I had to act like a total dumbass because I was like the "andho mein kaana raaja!"
In conclusion, I like the fact that I do have a brain and in short, I know when and when not to use it.

3. Ideals.
I have a lot of principles and ideals. I have never tweaked any of my ideals going from single to being in a relationship. I guess that is the thing about having certain morals and principles.. you never change them. I believe in fairness. I don't care if you are my husband, father or mother. If you are wrong, I am gonna call you out on it. Unfairness does not exist in my books. I absolutely believe in equality. I believe in standing up for the innocent. I probably get most bothered by the news around the world for this reason. I have other principles that I would not like to share here. But I think your ideals and principles make you who you are. I am really big on the importance of parents and respecting them. Also.. I stand up for myself where I need to. I got walked on by many people in the past. So.. as a lesson.. since 5-6 years ago.. I've alerted myself. I don't walk all over people and I don't let them do that to me either. In short, live and let live.
