Post #19: A date you would love to go on.
A lot of people have their ideas about a dream date.. but to be honest, I don't.
It's probably because I've been on so many dates with my wonderful fiancee. We've done the classic dinner - at every possible restaurant you could imagine. The best one was on top of the world.. I mean literally. We went to the Revolving Restaurant at CN Tower for his birthday dinner. It was probably the best date ever. It was just the two of us.
We've done the mall date.. many, many, many times! We have this rule - we go to one store of his choice ad then one store of mine. But usually, I just drag him to like 5 of my stores altogether and then go to 10 of his since he is the most picky guy shopper on planet earth.
We've done the stroll in the park. We've done lakeshore. We've gone on walks and been to wonderland as well as Niagara Falls. We also went for Go-Karting and bowling a couple of times. So, that takes care of the outdoorsy dates...
We've been to a local fair for Nagar Kirtan. So, that was a pretty crowded date, lol.
The only thing we haven't done is the Zoo and the Lion Safari. We have that planned after the engagement along with a ton of other stuff. We've done the concert bit too at Wonderland.
As for other activities.. we've been to Dave & Busters and to an arcade at Niagara. We shot hoops together and played other games. We've done board games too - played carom at my house once.
We've done ton and ton and ton of movie dates. I absolutely love watching movies so that is my favorite kind of activity together.
He loves adventurous stuff like snorkeling, sky diving, river rafting and bungee jumping. I don't have the guts to even get on a ride at wonderland. So, that is a huge difference between our personalities. I will feel bad if we go for a vacation somewhere exotic where I will hate to participate in any of the above while he will be dying to do it.
Other than all of the above.. what we haven't done is the following:-
1. A picnic date.
I've been asking him to spare a day for me to take him out on a picnic. I wanna take a cute mat, a throw-on, cushions, a basket with home-made snacks, drinks, a couple of magazines, our hats and sunglasses. I want to be reading my magazines while he's resting in my lap. Entirely cliche, I know. But that to me.. is a wonderful date idea.
2. Zoo/Lion Safari - As I said, we have this lined up for summer along with water parks!
3. A cooking date.
I think it is extremely romantic when couples bake or cook together. My man is like the anti-kitchen person so I won't be getting lucky here. It is sooo romantic when a couple does things together in the kitchen. Not those things you dirty fellas. Like chopping vegetables, stirring, and serving and stuff ;)
But anyway.. in all seriousness.. it is my dream to cook something with Nish in the kitchen.. and bring all the stuff to the table by the couch where we watch a chick flick for the night as we eat =D
He's probably gagging by now, lol.
4. Doing hobbies together.
I don't know if he has any indoor hobbies but I would love to sit on a couch with a Starbucks drink.. and read away. I absolutely love reading. I don't think I've ever accomplished anything besides him because he distracts all the time. But this is definitely something I would like to try!
5. BEACH
I am looking forward to this the most. I absolutely love beaches in the summer! We have been avoiding the beach because we don't wanna tan before the engagement, lol. Lots of family time at the beach together though. I wonder if we will get a chance to go by ourselves. So much to do this summer.. I tell ya..
