Changing eating habits..

Hey lovelies.

Just a motivational post for all of you that are keeping fit. And a reminder to those who are slacking off. Chop chop chop let's go!

I hit 15 lbs down this morning and I am really happy with the results. No fad diets. No programs. Nothing unhealthy. Just eating clean and working out. It is SO worth it. I can't believe I wasted time in my life earlier trying to keep up with crazy diets.

You gotta train your mind and body. It's a process. I've cheated SO much (i.e. 4-6 times a month) and I've still managed to do okay with myself. I am happy with the pace I am going at. It's not too pressure-some. It doesn't feel like punishment. It doesn't feel like a chore to prepare meals anymore. Once you get into it, you will notice that is becomes habitual gradually.

Goals for June: Another 5 lbs! That's about 1 lb a week - which is relatively healthy. I am at about 1100-1200 calories a day. Four bottles of water everyday and you will see wonders. I actually began to notice that my hair is a little shinier. My hair used to break off a lot too and I am doing much better with the breakage.

My acne is still a piss off. But I decided to stop treating it. I am a little old school. I can't put on too many treatments and chemicals. It will go away when it has to - naturally. I left it the way it is. I spent $100 on the acne cream and used it may be 8 times. I was supposed to use it for 6 weeks, but I can't. I can already see that the fruits I am eating and the vitamins I am taking are making a significant difference in my skin.

I'd say 35% of my acne has gone down. Now, there's more scarring than actual pimples. I am not doing anything for the scars either. I just believe they will go away over time. I really hope they do! The other night I met my friend, Beenish and she said, "You barely ever had anything on your skin.. and look how you're breaking out now!" Ahhh :( broke my heart a little. I did have flawless skin *sorry for bragging*
Whatever.. you gotta deal with it. I am not planning to wax any part of my face for another 6 months. I already haven't touched my face since March. Threading is the way to go!

Anyway.. back to fitness goals.. I quit cereal for good. Now, it's all about protein shakes and smoothies. It's summer and its fantastic to make a smoothie with tonnes of ice and protein powder. It keeps me full for longer. The sugar in cereals used to make me hungry way sooner before lunch. So, I am happy with the current breakfast. It's always this: either a protein shake or egg whites. You can't get anything better for breakfast.

My goal before August is to lose another 10 lbs. That would make it a total of 25 lbs with my current loss of 15 lbs. That makes me very happy. I finally learned to kick away those binge urges and eat relatively healthy with a few cheats here and there. I do have roti occasionally when I am really craving my ethnic food. And it doesn't really pack on the pounds as long as you balance out the rest of the day. I don't eat past 8:00 pm anymore. I've started to have Green Tea twice a day as opposed to once.
