Winter Tag: Top 10 Sweaters

Hi all.

Since it's so cold, I figured I'd do a sweater tag =)

I love the comfort of hoodies, scarves and hats in the winter. I hate the season but I love dressing up for it. I practically collect hats in almost every colour. And I love warm knit scarves! But this tag is strictly about my most worn sweaters of 2013.

I took some pretty crappy pictures before stepping out for grocery shopping. It took me 2 minutes. Sorry for the horrible picture quality. And I tried providing some links for the ones that are available online, if you happen to like them. Although, my taste is weird in clothes. I never really buy clothes thinking I need to be fashionable or wear something that are trending. I just buy stuff that I like.

Without any more rambling, following are my most worn sweaters of 2013:-

1. Union Jack Sweater (Forever21 - $23.80)

I got this sweater in Edmonton at the West Edmonton Mall. They have a huge Forever21. I got this for $30 and my Union Jack is in Hot Pink rather than Red (in the link provided above). Well, the good thing is - it's cheaper now but I prefer the Pink over the Red. I always pair it with my Forever21 striped beanie in Hot Pink & Taupe and it goes perfectly with this sweater. The beanie is available HERE.

2. William Rast Sequined Elbow Patch Hi-Lo Sweater (The Bay - $24.75)

I got this sweater on Boxing Day. It is 50% off from $50.00. I got the colour Pearl. It appealed to me more than the Black. You can do a nice and bright lipstick with this, a bright fuschia, deep red or plum would be great! It is nice and comfortable. And to be honest, the sequined elbow patches had me sold. It's a touch of glam in a plain sweater. I love William Rast clothes at the Bay. They always have unique designs.

3. Cozy Open Knit Sweater in Burgundy (Forever 21 - $29.80)

I have this open knit sweater in Burgundy. It has a ribbed trim, round neckline and drop shoulders.
It has long sleeves and is very lightweight.

This is probably my number 1 sweater out of the rest. I've worn it the best. It is soooo comfy. It kinda has the bat-wing arms effect and you can slide it off the shoulder. I just love this colour. Burgundy has been the main fashion trend in pants, leggings, tops and sweaters in 2013. Every one I know was dying to get Burgundy pants/leggings. I have nothing more to say. It's worth your money.

4. BENCH Inject Overhead (Bench - $89.00)

I actually got this sweater as a bonus =) We went to Bench looking for a jacket for Nish and while he was shopping in the men's section, I had to sneak to the women's section (of course!) I couldn't find anything for me so I headed over to the front counter and the cashier was wearing this. It looked great on her lol. I had to take my chance, so I headed over to the change room after requesting her to get one. This was the last piece and the last size in store. Lucky me, I fit into the medium here somehow. I am usually a large. Couldn't be happier because I love the style of this hoodie. It has a loose-fit draped collar with the Bench logo sewn into the left collar, on the wrist and on the hemline as well. Coincidentally, this is what I am wearing right now!

5. PINK Hoodie (Victoria's Secret PINK - $59.50)

I couldn't take a picture of my hoodie because it's in the wash. But I inserted the link above. I got it on sale with matching leggings for an additional $29.50.

6. BIANCA NYGARD Marilyn Monroe Cardigan (The Bay - $20.99 SALE)

I am upset that I got this sweater when it was regular price which is $39.99. I noticed that Sears and The Bay had some pretty amazing sales this year with markdowns up to 60%.

My mom wanted this lovely net dress top INC International Concepts which retailed for $89.99 and I got it for her on sale for $35.00 which was a pretty sweet deal! And she just wore it for her birthday last week and looked fab in it.
Anyway, I haven't worn this yet as you can probably spot the tag. And I know it's a pretty crazy cardi for an outfit, but I thought I'll give it a try.

I love how they added Monroe's beauty mark with added emphasis. She created a vogue of her own with that legendary beauty mark. Also, the signature dark lips (in this case - hot pink) totally sold me!

7. Unknown Eiffel Tower Sweater (The Bay - $50.00)

I got this from The Bay before leaving for Edmonton. I particularly remember this was $50.00 because I got a $50.00 gift card for The Bay from a friend. I used my gift card for this one purchase as I clearly remember! It was still at Square One when I checked last but I cannot find the link online. But anyway, I love this sweater. I usually pair it with a black beanie.

8. Unknown Polka Dot Sweater (Sears - $30.00)

I also got this before going to Edmonton so it's probably not available in stores any more. But this is a pretty generic polka dot sweater which is practically available in every colour combination in a variety of stores. I had to get it because of the PINK polka dots, lol. I love Pink! =D

9. Fuzzy Sweater Trend (Urban Planet - $30.00)

Nish's mom got me this sweater for my birthday with a ton of leggings and other cozy sweaters for Edmonton. Both of 'em took me for a spree of winter clothes before leaving but this is my favorite of the bunch, mostly 'cause I find the hearts so cute. I say that for all my clothes, lol. I cannot pick a single. I love warm fuzzies. It's like wearing a nice and comfy blanket. And warm fuzzy sweaters are trending everywhere right now. I see a lot of them at Forever21.

10. Fuzzy Sweater Trend (Urban Planet - $28.00)

Again, another fuzzie. Because the previous one is B 'n' W, I figured I'd share something coloured. I wore this to work in Edmonton and got compliments for it. Love the floral pattern and the colours. This was also the last piece in store. I saw it on a rack with other stuff and this was the only thing that didn't belong. I love it when you get the last piece in store, it makes me feel victorious lol.

This one is also from my shopping spree with Nish and mom =)

If you found these sweaters hideous, you can let me know. No worries ;)
