The man & the ring

Shall we talk about the man or the ring first? I say ring! Because the man has been talked about for years already ;)

I feel it is important to reiterate that as I write this blog, I am now an engaged woman. Also, I would just like my dear friends, family and readers to beware of me the next couple of months. Why? Because I am gonna talk about the engagement in great minute detail. I feel everything has to be talked about for me to feel completely normal. It's no surprise that I cannot be sane without venting it all out. Also, if it seems like bragging, I apologize before hand. And for those haters and faint hearts, man.. you guys are gonna need some first aid.

In my previous blog about horoscopes, I hinted how the Vera Wang rings are perfect in coordination to what I want. They all have the signature sapphire which represents one of the lucky Libra stones. And knowing Nish, I am sure a lot of people had an expectation of an immaculate ring! Clearly.. he hasn't disappointed anybody.

I am totally not the solitaire kind. I don't desire a traditional round ring that represents vintage. Don't get me wrong, those rings are classic as they never go out of style. But knowing my craze for the latest fashion always, the halo engagement ring style is so on point. It is a much-sought after choice by all celebrities lately. The "halo" has micro diamonds that surround the center diamond. It definitely makes the classic solitaire look like an understated bling. Again, not to be mean or anything =P

This ring is perfect in accordance to my sense of style and personality. It is so feminine yet trendy at the same time. I got a split-shank halo.. that is one of the best designs on halo rings. It has 14K white gold and unmatched quality. You cannot beat a VW ring on it's shine, even in the dark! This particular ring has a round diamond in the center stone with glittering set of diamonds in a double frame set with smaller accent diamonds as well as 2 princess-cut blue sapphires! That is a total of 90 diamonds on this ring.

The split shank gives it such a nice touch. The most talked about ring is Kate Middleton's beaaauutiful Royal Sapphire & Diamond halo ring. I am so glad to have this halo ring as a symbol of love. It is eye-catching and I can't freaking stop looking at it. Forgive me for the bragging again!

Point to be noted: I never wear jewelry. I don't wear earrings, not even studs. No bracelets or necklaces. I wear those artificial accessories when I am dressing up to go out. But on a regular basis, I do not wear anything. And wearing this one piece on my hands feel like it's a lot. That is why.. I cannot stop looking at it. This ring is worth every single penny of the 6 grand that were spent on it! And Nish wants me to a sign a contract that I will not buy another piece of diamond jewelry for at least the next 5 years. Haha. Yeah, right =)

I wanna thank this wonderful man for this wonderful ring! Also, for bending on your knees IN STORE and proposing at Yorkdale mall. That night was truly unforgettable. I don't feel like I need to say it again... because I've said it a billion times already.. but this man truly loves me like crazy. And I love him back the same. We are so happy that everything went down soo great. In fact, even better than expected. I am going to be doing a series of blogs about our engagement which will include a lot of planning tips as well for those who are planning their engagement/wedding. I feel like it was a great learning experience for us. I seriously learned a lot out of it for the future.
