Decisions, Phones & Movies

Hello all and happy weekend!

This is going to be a very repetitive post from Facebook. I got admission into all the colleges I applied to - that is GB, Sheridan & Georgian. Georgian is out of the picture because I am not moving out this year. I have a lot happening in my personal life and it is not feasible to move away.

So, I am stuck between GB & Sheridan. I am more inclined towards Sheridan just because their co-op program has more paid coops than GB. On the other hand, the Sheridan program is more expensive than GB. The difference is roughly three grand. But then again.. if you get paid co-op for 4 months, you earn that back plus more. I think it will work out either way. Even if the co-op isn't paid, you get experience out of it. I've heard of GB as a more reputed school but then again, Sheridan follows the league with its popular co-op program. I hate choosing :[

If you look at the commute aspect; travelling downtown will be crazy. But then again, I don't mind it as much because I've traveled to UTM for 4 years by bus. I practically studied for half my tests on the bus!

I have until May 15th to decide. So, I am hoping to have made a good decision by then. A shout out to Smit for being so kind and helpful and answering all my questions about HR! If anyone else has their two cents to throw in - please do. Much appreciated!

Other than that...

My weekend so far is going pretty well. Last night, Nish and I went out for dinner. We actually went to get him a new phone first, but it was sold out at the Bram location. Today, he finally got his new S4. I've been a loyal Apple customer for too long. I think I am also gonna switch to Android. My brother, who has had an iPhone for 3 years just got the new HTC. I love that phone! I think I am eligible for an upgrade sometime at the end of this year. Boxing Day = Android. Bye Apple. You've been good to me, but it's time to move on. It's not you. It's me. Sorry :(

My fam and I just went out to see Shootout at Wadala. Okay, for those who don't know.. let me warn you.. this is NOT a family movie. Do not make the mistake of watching this movie with your family.. especially in a theatre. It is an action movie but there are rape scenes and other than that.. intense love-making scenes.. actually LUST scenes.. that are quite vulgar. The movie overall = fantastic. I still like Shootout at Lokhandwala much better. It had a better ending. However, this movie is based on a true story.. so we can't expect a hallelujah ending. It is what it is.

But.. I must say.. John's acting has improved tremendously and his performance was absolutely commendable. Perhaps, it's the break up with Bipasha. Just kidding. But I think he really found his ground in the movie. I thought he is all for his looks and nonsensical comedy. But this might be a new genre for him that might just work!
