My lovely parents!

After the last blog post, I ended up sorting everything out with my mom. It was their anniversary afterall. And it is fair to say that the party was a BIG HIT. I haven't had this much fun at a family party since.. umm forever. Everybody had fun. It went on till 2:00 am and we had surprises for my parents, which made them even happier. I am glad everything turned out the way we hoped it would. All that cleaning, cooking, and putting effort into creating their presents - well worth it.

Secondly, I went to another party for my uncle's birthday yesterday. When you're dieting, it becomes awfully hard to explain to people why you don't want a slice of cake, or why you don't even wanna touch those deep fried kebabs. I have been struggling with this. I gained a pound and a half after cheating with a slice of cake, and having some macaroni salad with one kebab. Sad! But but but.. I am back on it, dancing, working out and eating right to lose whatever I put on. The current progress is about 20 lbs. I'd say I've met my halfway point now. About another 20 to go. Anyway, I don't want this to turn into a health blog.

Something very exciting - my grandma is coming from India tomorrow and I haven't seen her in a year and a half. It's not too long at all considering I went to India last year but I just miss her and love her so much. I can't wait to see her tomorrow. I wish I was at the airport picking her up and being the first one to spot her like always but I can't. I have sucha crap schedule for summer school. Gotta suck it up and live with it.

Now, summer school.
I got Mondays and Wednesdays - one lecture from 10:00 - noon. And Tuesdays and Thursdays are going to be hell for me. I start at 10:00 am and stay at UTM till 3:00 pm. And then, head off to Humber to attend a class from 6:30 - 9:30 pm. These two days are gonna be the longest days of the week. But hey, NO HUMBER after this course - really excited about that!

What else? I haven't gone clubbing/dancing in sucha long time with Nish. I am planning to go for that Imran Khan jam this Friday. Let's see how that goes... plus, I am excited about fitting into a dress that I've had for so long.
