I think I should rename myself Miss.Misfortunate. So, I did my readings last night and went to bed around 2:00 am. I woke up at 7:00 am and got dressed. Because my mother has had a huge change in our shifts regarding the timings, I am able to work out sharing a car. The Audi is our luxury car, which we don't use for local distances. So, we gotta juggle between the two local driving cars. I told mom I am gonna drive till (not listing place because of stalkers) the bus stop, park the car there, and bus to UTM. That saves me about 45 minutes.
There's a railway crossing on the way to the stop. And the train just comes at BAD times. I mean, for real. When I am not late for anything, there's no train. When I have to be somewhere, there's not one train, but TWO. I reached the crossing at 8:21 am. My bus was scheduled at 8:35 am. I stood there waiting till 8:46 am. Can you believe how much gas I wasted? I should have just turned off the car if I knew there's gonna be two trains. I was waiting for the one train to go by, and I see another one from the opposite side. Oh great. No room to back out or reverse to go back and take another route either.
I finally reached my bus stop, parked my car there and found out that I just missed the bus AFTER the 8:35 one as well. The next one was at 9:10. My lecture was at 10:00! I would only get to Square One by 10:10. I estimated that I would reach around 10:45 am. This lecture is not a full two hours, it's usually done by 11:30. So, I figured there's no point traveling there for 45 minutes of a lecture. I'll just have to understand the powerpoint notes on my own.
Lessons learnt:-
1. Always have a time margin before you leave the house.
2. When you see a train, don't fucking wait for it. Reverse and go the other way.
3. And if you absolutely cannot, then PLEASE turn off your car considering that you might run out of fuel.
