We went to KFC and I had such a good time! Then we went to Kapsons for shopping. I was supposed to surprise my childhood best friend in the evening. I met Kitters in the early evening and we went to Cafe Coffee Day for a little birthday treat. Then, he took me for a gedi to my school, St. Joseph's Convent School. My god, re-visiting the memories.. I'm still nostalgic. Then, he dropped me back home after a short drive. He had his flight for Canada the next day, what irony! Then I went off to my dad's best friend's place, it was his wife's birthday. After we cut the cake, I went off to my friend's place. I rang the doorbell and the servant opened up. I kinda just ignored his presence and barged in, lol. I came right upstairs to her place and she stood there in mere shock for the next 30 seconds! The expression was worth it.. I hid it from her all these months despite talking to her.. That was some moment!
The next day was Bahman's birthday. We started the day with a Satsang held by our family near our house. I invited my childhood bestie and we had a great time chanting 'Radhe Radhe.' The first week was entirely religious and I loved it. We held a langar not only for the colony but for the poor. The 'seva' was an important part. I felt so good about finally devoting time to God free of time restraints and other interferences. As for the birthday party in the evening, I had so many things planned out when I was here and things just ran so quickly in India that it didn't quite turn out the way I wanted it to. We still managed to have a good time. Well, don't I always? :P Shaina came from Chandigarh and all of us went to Prithvi's Planet, then Basant in the evening. How can I forget such a good place like PP and such a pathetic place like Basant! Anywhoooo...
The next 6 or 7 days were all spent with friends and it was so much fun! How can I forget the time spent in Dominos, Pizza Hut, especially Heat 7 and redi wale golgappe and Rainak Bazaar ka tikkiyon wala chaunk! It was just... I am gonna leave the sentence incomplete because there is no possible word to describe it. Y'all might think I am exaggerating my happiness and feelings but the truth is.. I was so miserable before I left, partly because of exams and some social problems. Then, a sudden shift to amazing friends, unconditional love and such good treatment by friends and family. I miss it all so much... and that was the first week spent local in Jalandhar.
