As I said, I am setting some sort of a standard to get things done this year. The beginnings are always so pumped up but it dies off later. This time, I wanna make it last like it's the beginning till the end. I organized my study table, not really the bookshelf and that's going to be my station from now on. If I don't get straight As this semester... I am not gonna kill myself over it =] I am gonna work harder! Woohoo! How positive was that =P Jumping on to something totally random, I had the weirdest nightmares last night and barely got a 3 hour sleep and woke up at 6:00 a.m. to go to gym. Talk about determination, huh? lol. Alright, I don't wanna jinx it.
I twisted my foot this morning getting off the bus somehow. I couldn't even walk properly but I still went to the gym around 8:30 a.m. As I mentioned a few times before, I am severely asthmatic and I FEAR running. And I have sworn that I am gonna do things I never wanted to do before. So, I got on the treadmill. The equipment is old, it didn't even have an incline facility. I walked on 3.5 for 15 minutes, then walked on 4.0 for 10 minutes. I got back down to 3.0 for 10 minutes and ran on 5.0 for 5 minutes. I discovered, I can run. For really short periods of time, though. Another thing, I need to go get my prescription puffers. I haven't used them in over two years now. It might sound petty to you guys, especially for the ones who are physically fit. But for me, it was a huge deal. I was panting after a five minute run. Imagine my health status. Anyhow, the accomplishment was not really running in this scenario. It was that I still went to exercise with a twisted foot, in pain. I guess, the determination is creeping in day by day. I don't even have school tomorrow and had no plans of gymming, but now I am going. I hope I keep up. I wanna be able to run 5k by the end of April without the help of a puffer.
P.S. I actually use my whiteboard now for reminders =] How cool is that! I am giving up laziness.
If you can dance, you should dance like a mad woman. Running is SUCH A DRAG and gets incredibly boring after a while. We should go to fitness classes together too, zumba dance, kick box, there's plenty.
ReplyDeleteI've been dancing since forever. It's the sole exercise I enjoy with my body. I wanna learn belly dancing once my belly is worth exposing, lol.
