any cure for my shopping addiction?

It's Christmas Eve! Well, it's technically Christmas now because it is past midnight :D

This is my favorite time of year just because it is so festive. Every one is in the festive mood and ready to party. It brings such love, warmth and positivity out of everybody! 

I woke up really late today. I am enjoying sleeping in and doing nothing as opposed to being out for 15 hours a day, as I was in Edmonton. Even though it is the holidays, I absolutely miss being busy. Having a crazy routine was kinda fun. My day pretty much started at 5:30 am and I got home around between 7 to 8 pm depending on my bus schedule. Then, coming home and making dinner or more like popping in frozen food into the microwave, because you're so damn tired to cook a meal. I definitely enjoyed my time with my roomie, sharing our day to day struggles in the crazy winter in AB. I swear, every morning, I was the only pedestrian taking a bus at 6 am in the cold. It was fun, oh well.. back to the actual blog.

Today, I spent some time cleaning my room. Tomorrow, I am gonna clean the rest. Our little Christmas tree is up as well. I am still not done shopping for everybody lol. I have stocking stuffers as of now but the big gifts will have to wait until Boxing Day. I shopped a lot in Edm, and I am not getting anything for myself this Boxing Day. Like, I seriously need to stop. I got a lot of clothes. A LOT OF CLOTHES. My closet does not have the space to add even one more hanger to it. So, just no more clothes (even though I just went to Vaughan Mills yesterday and got myself a hoodie-set from VS Pink, lol). Some of us are just addicted. And not to mention, this season has the best makeup deals at Sephora! Why do they have to come up with the cutest packaging at this time of year? Why can't we have it all year around? I purchased so much high end makeup and I have promised myself, no more... after the Naked 3 palette. It is SOLD OUT. I don't know how long I have to wait to get my hands on it... but I am on the wait list. 

I cannot do a review because it will be long but I purchased a lot of Benefit Cosmetics products such as ther Hoola, Corralista, High Beam, What's Up Highlighter, They're Real Mascara, and the much talked about POREfessional. Moreover, I got 2 foundations from MAC, Stila eye liner, as well as the TARTE Power Couple Bronzer Due. Oh, I almost forgot the much anticipated NARS Duo in Orgasm and Laguna. 

Also for skin, Shoppers has finally started carrying Soap & Glory Products & Gosh (both UK based companies). I just got a Soap & Glory facial cleanser, it is the best. I think I'll do a detailed review later. Their moisturizers are alright. There are other companies out there with moisturizers with same or better consistency, so I am not particularly fond of their Hand Food etc. But I love love love the cleanser!

My quota for bronzers, foundations & blushes is done this year. I've got way too many face products. This year, I've collected all the blushes and bronzers on my wish list. I've also finally arrived at a final favorite foundation and saved myself the hassle. Thanks Komal for introducing me to MUFE HD. I am never going back to any other foundation again. Thanks Sherry, I also got the MAC Face & Body and the Matchmaster, my dear friend Sherry who is also a MUA tried that combination on me and I kinda liked it. So, I went and purchased it. Now, I've also got a ton of lip products including the Obsessive Compulsive Lip Tars as well as all the lipsticks I really wanted from MAC. My wishlist was to get all my favorites from MAC's top 10. So, I got:-

- Candy Yum Yum 

- Relentlessly Red

- Rebel

- Please Me

- Lady Danger

- Ruby Woo

The only one I need to get is Russian Red and my wishlist will be complete for lip products.

I've actually not worn eye shadow in 2013 as much. I was into shadows and smokey looks a couple of years ago when I actually started experimenting with makeup (2008-2011) ish. I've found myself wearing least and least of shadows in 2013. However, I am falling in love with shadows again because I've had a break from them. Hence, I want the Naked 3 palette because of the beautiful rosey-gold tones in it. I love neutrals.

Sorry for making this post a shopping haul. I kinda just rambled.

Anyway, tonight was a good night. We had quite a feast with the fam and had all our favorite foods. Then, we watched Bigg Boss 7. Then, I gave myself a much needed home manicure. If anyone wants to know how - leave a comment and I'll make it the next post. In terms of Christmas, I was feeling Essie Tonight (Twin Sweater Set). Mom has work in the morning so every one went to bed at a reasonable time. Christmas won't be the same without mom at home, but we will try =)

I just wanna take the time to say, happy holidays everyone and a very Merry Christmas. To all those friends, who've got engaged or married this year or the ones who've had babies and other significant life changes, congratulations to all of you guys again. People remind us that life is about love and reciprocating love, no matter the hustle and bustle of shopping trips, and Christmas gifts, we need to give the gift of love, honestly and truly. This year has been a fantastic year for me as well. I wanna take the time to thank all of you (because I certainly don't do it often), so my dear friends and family, the ones I see or don't see often, you all are and have been an important part of my life. And I hope all of you have a fantastic Christmas, Boxing Day & New Year. Forget those waist lines and love handles for now, eat as much food you want. Forget those dreadful TD Bank trips, and spend as much as you want on shopping or going out. Forget how busy you've been all year long and now make the time to finish all those unfinished tasks before the end of this year. Lots of love, hugs and kisses to all of you all xo
