Complete Moron Drivers

Oh my.. where do I even begin?

I was just driving home from gym and it's only a 15 minutes drive. But the amount of FOOLS that I share the road with pisses me off so much. When will people learn to drive? They seriously need to toughen the driver's test evaluation, I swear.

I mean, how many moron drivers can one come across in a day? What the hell are people doing in their cars? I really don't understand. The unnecessary attempt to overtake you when you know it is NOT gonna happen.

I am the kind of driver that lets people go most of the time. If I am standing at a red light on a road with two lanes, it is obvious that the right lane drivers can go ahead past the lights once they are green or may take a right even when they are red. I try to pull up the left as much as I can to let cars squeeze by to the right when there is that little curb space to go by. I don't make people wait an entire light when all they have to do is position their car a bit to the left instead of hogging the entire lane. People drive me nuts!

Why don't people indicate when switching lanes? I don't care if the road is relatively empty and I am the only one behind you. I still need to know you're freaking gonna barge into my lane, so I can keep my speed steady and not hop onto you.

What's the deal with people who drive 20 under the speed limit? I see people driving on a 40 in a 60 zone. Okay, 5-10 is tolerable but 20? You cannot slow down the traffic and irritably drive me to switch lanes. Then, I appear as one of those "over-takers" which I am not. All I am trying to do is drive in the normal speed limit without impeding traffic and get to where I want to go.

Another thing that annoys me - when people see a Police car, they slow down from a 70 to a 40. Why? He is standing in his own lane and doing his thang. You are in a 60 limit, then why do you have to show that you are a very law abiding citizen by actually driving 20 under? I don't understand when people slow down way too much thinking they are gonna get pulled over too. Fine, I understand that you are being cautious but don't panic! At least live up to the designated speed limit. You might not get a ticket for being so mesmerized by the flashing blue lights but I don't want to be the one to get a ticket for going too slow behind you. Geez, if people in India were this scared of the Police - we'd have a new nation.

And girls.. the ones who groom while driving.. OH-MY-GOD! Honestly.. I can tolerate the lipsticks at the red lights (even though it still doesn't make sense to me), but I cannot tolerate people fixing their hair and looking in the mirror WHILE they are driving. I mean, how self-obsessed do you have to be? Do you think your car is gonna land right onto the Miss World ramp? Really?

And now.. the most annoying category.. the SNAKES! Some drivers are like rattling snakes, they switch lanes 3-4 times from the distance of one set of lights to the next intersection JUST to be faster than the rest, and then end up getting stuck with me at the red lights when I catch up to them. At that time, I literally pull up and think this in my head.. "Huh! Apne aap ko Race ka Saif Ali Khan samajh raha tha.. but guess what Einstein? After switching your lane 4 times, you are STILL here at the red lights with me and you are gonna leave from here when I leave!" And sometimes, I sit there and smirk at the stupidity of others. These people think they are playing a video game where they are playing a car race. Well, you SUCK at that game. So, stop it and drive like human beings. Every one wants to get to work, school or wherever. If you are THAT worried about getting there on time, then freaking wake up 10 minutes earlier and drive safe.

Also, why don't people understand right of way? Why do they forget what happens at an all-way stop sign? I mean, these things are SO basic. I have to either flash people to let them know it's your turn! Or.. sometimes, I just sigh and go first. Imagine 4 cars just waiting for 10 seconds wondering who has to go. Keep your eyes and ears open when you drive. Don't drive clumsily. Be aware of your surroundings and watch out for who is coming and who is going and when your turn will be.

And for other stupid drivers, who will never learn to drive.. I hope you win your snake race. As for me, I am not driving anywhere today. I sitting in my bed, wrapped up in my blanket, sipping on coffee. Ooohh yeah! =)
