Happiness comes in many forms. Some big and some small..
I believe it is the tiny stuff that really makes you happy!
You know what brightens up my day?
- When I get a good morning text message from a friend (Beenish, Navneet, Kanchi)
- When Harveen offers to pick me up in the morning for work because she has the car :)
- When we leave each other stickies at work or intercom with each other 20 times a day, lol
- Twisting a lid of a jar when no one else was able to
- When Nish offers to drop me home after work and tries to cheer me up on the way home after a long day
- When my mom cooks my favorite food for dinner without telling me, so I can be surprised when I get home
- A kiss on the forehead
- When my brother comes into my room at 11 pm and asks me if I want a Macadamia Nut Cookie from Tim Hortons
- When I am in my solitude with something sweet to eat and my Friends DVD
- When I end up having my eye liner perfectly glide on
- When my hair is messy but falls into place itself and looks good effortlessly
- When my dad hugs me right when I come home from work, and gives me a peck on the cheek
- When I am sick, and wrapped up in the blanket, and mom makes me hot Chai without even asking
- When I wake up on a Saturday morning, and the first thing that gets to my ears is that mom is making Aloo Paranthas with lots of Makhan and Dahi :)
- The day you look pretty and go out, and strangers give you a smile or a compliment
- When you help someone hold doors, or hold their stuff while they get on the bus, and the amount of kindness and gratitude they show towards you
- Extra sleep! Enough said..
- A long phone conversation after a LONG time
- When he calls you to say, "Babe, I am at H & M, and just got you a sweater. I hope you like it!"
- An itch you can actually reach on your back, haha
- Being home alone and watching all my silly shows like Judge Judy and Property Brothers
- A spontaneous plan to hang out with friends
- Going for a walk, and thinking about life in such a philosophical way because you're staring at mother nature
- Just counting down for Christmas and the holidays, knowing gifts, lots of food and happiness are on their way
- When Tim Hortons actually freakin' get a COFFEE right in the morning. My iced coffee, with just the right amount of beverage base, right amount of cream, and right amount of ice. Ah, it's like a dream!
- When Harveen brings me pancakes to work for breakfast! Awwww..
- Cuddling on a cold day
- Receiving those government cheques right when you need some extra cash haha
- When my mom offers to straighten the back of my hair before a party (seldom happens because she's burnt my neck one time before) lol
- When someone tickles me :)
- Going to Symposium and eating my favorite Chocolate Divine Waffles
- Doing my nails late night, going to sleep while they're drying and how nice and perfect they look when you wake up in the morning
- Having your dad de-ice your car in the morning so you don't have to do =)
- The excitement of watching a new movie, and eating all of Nish's popcorn
- Last but not the least, shopping alone =)
All these little things have made/make my day! Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It is okay to let yourself be happy, because you never know how fleeting that happiness might be.
