Hey everyone! So.. the holidays are o-v-e-r? Yeup. People are back to work and school and it all sucks. What did I do all day? Last night I slept at 11:00 pm and randomly woke up at 2:30 am. I couldn't sleep after that. I slept at 7:00 am and woke up at 2:00 pm! What an unhealthy cycle of sleep! This is my FIRST goal this year, to fix my sleeping habits before I do more harm to myself. I use concealer twice (once before my foundation and once after) to cover my under-eye circles and it still doesn't work! Anyhow..
I woke up and quickly got ready because the entire family was leaving together. We had to drop mom to work and dad had to go the bank, and then to Canadian Tire, I had to go to UTM just to check out a book for my lecture tomorrow, and then we had to hunt down a location of Highland Farms for grocery shopping. All in all, I had a good time with my brother and dad. I haven't been grocery shopping from a good four months. Remember how I quit gym and eating healthy? And I said that the beginning of this year marks the diet and gym marathon for me. I am serious about it. We spent nearly $200 on JUST fruits, veggies and healthy snacks.
I thought I would share what kinds of things we bought for those who are trying to eat healthy and also mention what to eat on a low-carb diet. My brother and I are going to the extreme end of the diet spectrum, sort of like.. when we're not even eating ketchup because it has sugar in it. We are going for no sugar (but we're consuming natural sugars of course!) and a low-carb diet. We're definitely increasing our water-intake and incorporating protein-shake and multi-vitamins in our diet as well as going to the gym at least three times of the week.
The health blog is back to business, and I will not be posting most of the links on Facebook (just because I don't wanna advertise health, health and health! For those who want to follow, will need to bookmark the blog link and just check for regular updates. If it's something completely important, I will link it in a blog post here to open the other blog in a different window. I am so happy to be starting this, ONCE again, and hopefully.. this time will be the last. I wanna finish what I started earlier, so I can be completely satisfied with myself. I truly will be very proud if I meet all my goals. I am not taking the help of a trainer or consulting any dietitian. I am doing this all by myself, and I can't wait to document everything!

P.S. It's my mom's birthday tomorrow so we bought a Strawberry Shortcake to surprise her at 12:00 tonight (I am gonna have to excuse that one slice of the Shortcake in the diet today).
