Fruit Facial

Hellooo everyone! Thank god it's friday!
I woke up at 3:00 pm today - wow, right? Yes, and I woke up with the worst cramps possible. My legs and upper body area is jammed from the cold yesterday. I was freezing in the car yesterday during our drive to Waterloo and when I came back home, I turned on the fireplace and I don't know what happened. Like, I cannot bend or do anything.

Since Karvachauth is coming up (October 26), my mother is getting herself treated in installments, haha. Let me explain, she went to the salon yesterday for her manicure and pedicure. Today, both of us are going for facials. Tomorrow, we are getting her hair cut and blow dry done. And by Tuesday, hopefully she is content with her appearance with a brand new saree (that I brought, ahem ahem) and dangling jewelery.
I am gonna go and write the rest of this blog later.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Hello, I am back!
The salon experience was interesting! So, we went there and ladies were lined up for all sorts of things in preparation for Karvachauth - haircuts, hair coloring, manicure, pedicure, henna designs, facials, waxing etc.
It was too long of a wait, so we decided to leave. The lady stopped us and she said she called an employee and she's already on her way. Mom had to go home because dad called in and said he is coming early. I stayed because the lady was already on her way.

So, I usually don't get facials done or anything. In fact, the last time I got one was in August 2009 (India). I had a lot of blackheads according to the lady and they were gonna kill me lol. While I was waiting, a lady walked in wrapped in a saree like it was a punishment. She walked so funny, it reminded me of the time I wore a saree and could not pull a step (two weeks ago). Wearing a saree might look easy, but hey!.. you gotta be skilled to pull that shit off. So, she came in for saree tying. And it was hilarious to be in conversation with her. Another lady was getting her pedicure done and all three of us just formed a mini mob and chuckled at the complications of tying a saree, and being big women. It was fun!

Before she left, she took down my number and the other lady's number as well. Then, I went off to a room for my facial. The lady was nice! She gave me tips to get rid of blackheads and keep my skin healthy (not like I am gonna follow any of that, but still). I am too lazy to be taking care of myself. I am too lazy to even moisturize my body after a shower, let alone other things. It was a one hour fruit facial. She did a good job massaging and everything. It was very relaxing, UNTIL... caps lock UNTIL they KILLED me with taking out my blackheads off my nose. I think it almost bled :| I was like, "maine kaunse paap kiye hain?" Why are you guys doing this to me? lol. Ohhh, it was painful! Especially, near the chin. And I have to go for this treatment in the next two weeks again because there were many blackheads and they are not all out yet. Lord bless me!

So, I am back home and thinking I should have pasta for dinner. Later!
