Pimples. Yes, that's what this is about :P
So, I am doing it for no one in particular but since NikiWiki had some questions about it, and I was told to email her, I thought I shall just do this here. (Caz I have my laptop now :P I'll be blogging more than ever.. muahahahahaha)
I don't know how exactly to treat pimples, but I know some home remedies that I follow sometimes once in a month to keep my skin fresh.
SKIN CARE 101
So, I was told that in order to avoid pimples, you should:
- Wash your face atleassssst 2 times a day (thats's really the FIRST step)
- Remove all makeup from your skin before sleeping (THIS took me a while to follow :$)
- Use some sort of skin cleanser, scrub or basically anything to just cleanse it (I use Neutrogena, Clean&Clear, Nivea Visage etc.)
- I also use St.Ives Apricot Scrub once a week to keep blackheads away, works for me
- Avoid too much coffee or chocolate (yeah right!) :p
- Probably the most important, drink 8 glasses of water a day to keep the toxins out..
Those were guidelines to avoid them, now if you have them..
Unless it is a skin problem, the pimples shall go away with:
Mixing a paste of honey with cinnamon powder, applyling it not all over the face but the area of pimples, and washing your face with lukewarm water a few hours later. The honey kills the skin bacteria, that's why it works well. And it's actually better if you apply it before sleeping, leave it on for the night, with obviously a towel on your pillow.. and washing it in the morning for best results.
And by the way, I am not big on the skin routine and sitting in front of the mirror mosturizing with night creams and all that. But I do realize (a little too late) that.. mosturizing skin is really important. My skin is naturally oily, the reason I hate using mosturizers. But this is definitely the most important step in your skin routine after scrubbing or cleansing. Recommendation: Olay Classic Mosturizing (the one I am using, it's pretty good)
Bonus:
To keep skin fresh and soft, mix yogurt with crushed strawberries, add a few drops of honey to the mixture, it leaves the skin feeling realllllly soft!
Note: I am not addressing these tips or home remedies to ALL skin types, I am giving advice based on my personal experiences.
Hope that helps.
Cheers.
